Charity Golf Day - 23rd August 2021 - Sponsored by Jaspar Foundation of StanmoreBack
On 23rd August 2021 the Joseph Clarke School Trust held its 7th Charity Golf Day at West Essex Golf Course and the early indications are that the Trust will have raised in excess of their target of £5,000.
As in previous years the Trust is extremely grateful for the generous support and sponsorship from both local Businesses and Friends of the Trust. The main sponsor was the Jaspar Foundation of Stanmore with Borno Pharmacy in Highams Park as the secondary sponsor... the Hole Sponsors were Henry Morgan, Bradshaw Electrical Ltd, Smart Vision Ltd, McRaes Estate Agents, Walthamstow Social Centre for the Blind, Rotary Club of Chingford, Sullivan & Co, Essex Security Services Limited, M.J. Payne Ltd, Sorefeet Ltd, Kyle Smart Associates Ltd, Robert's Motorworks, Phil Mitchell, Hamways Ltd, Alfie Harper and Yogesh Khan.
All the profits will help to enhance the education and well-being of the pupils at Joseph Clarke School.
39 intrepid Golfers teed off on a dry day that gradually got hotter, brighter and sunnier. The morning's 9-hole Texas Scramble Competition was won by a team entered by Alan Pickett. In the afternoon there was an 18-hole Stableford Competition that was won by Dave Bradshaw. The Longest Drive Competition was won by Tony Forecast and the Nearest the Pin Competition was won by Marc Bradshaw. In the evening 15 guests joined the Golfers for the Presentation Dinner that was followed by a Silent Auction and the Raffle Draw.
The Trust is also extremely grateful to West Essex Golf Club for their continued support in hosting the event and thanks to all the staff for making sure that everything went like clockwork. There seems no doubt that the Trust will hold their 8th Charity Golf Day next year!
The Jaspar Foundation supports programmes across education, healthcare, elderly and disabled, homelessness and poverty and emergency relief, and work to alleviate hardship and improve lives and opportunities in the UK and around the world.
