Temporary closure of Peter Turner Primary 'bubble'Back
There are two confirmed cases of C-19 in Peter Turner Primary School.
We have assessed the risk to staff and children and taken advice from Public Health England and decided to temporarily close PTP Key Stage 1 and 2 (Years 1-6) until we receive further information. The Early Years bubble is not affected.
We have not taken this decision lightly and will do all we can to bring the children back to school as soon as possible.
We are contacting the parents and carers of all children who have been close contact with the two cases and need to self-isolate by telephone. Neither case have used the school transport buses.
- Parents and carers of with children in the Peter Turner Primary bubble should not send their child to school until contacted by the school.
- Pupils in the Niels Chapman, RGC, Margaret Brearley, and Early Years bubbles should attend school as usual.
Please do not send your child to school if they, or anyone who lives with you, shows any of the following symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, persistent, cough
- a loss of smell or taste
or has a confirmed case of Covid-19.
We will be in contact in due course this week. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Head of School or a member of the Family Support Team for further information.
